Chronic Pain & Injuries

Are you in need of treatment but not pregnant? Not a problem! I also work with the non-pregnant community. I have great success treating chronic pain and helping people recover from injuries. In this circumstance it is important to schedule multiple treatments to truly effect change.

Sometimes called medical massage, this form of massage is generally practiced in relation to a specific goal focused on improving health of clients. It is helpful to individuals who suffer from an assortment of health conditions, including repetitive motion injuries, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, muscle spasms, neuromuscular conditions, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, chronic headaches, whiplash, rotator cuff injuries, and soft-tissue injuries as well.

Additionally, medical massage increases blood supply to skeletal muscles and other body components. Furthermore, medical massage is also evidenced to stimulate the nervous system as well. Overall, it is a noninvasive therapy that produces beneficial health results to those experiencing numerous health-related illnesses and injuries.

The frequency of treatments is up to the client and depends on how they are feeling. The more frequent the appointments are in the beginning the faster the results. An example would be: Weekly appointments for 3-4 weeks (or until progress is being felt), and then drop back to every other week for a month or two, then drop down to once a month and so on. If there are periods of flare ups, additional appointments may be scheduled. Even a monthly appointment will offer a cumulative effect, it will just take longer to get the desired results.

I can offer some self help tips, stretches and exercises, however, depending on your situation you may need to work with a physical therapist, chiropractor, etc. in addition to receiving massage therapy.
