Meet Your Therapist
Jennifer R. Bernardo, LMT - Jennifer has been practicing massage since 2002 in the Cumberland area. She specializes in pregnancy massage as well as teaches labor massage techniques to couples, self-help techniques for pregnancy, as well as, infant and pediatric massage to parents. She is a graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester, MA and is frequently taking continuing education classes to further expand her knowledge. She belongs to the American Massage Therapy Association, the National Certification Bureau for Massage Therapists and Body Workers, the Rhode Island Birth Network, and the Children's Holistic Collaborative and is licensed in the state of R. I. Jennifer has chosen to focus her career on this very special segment of the community because she believes pregnant women need and deserve the very best care, and massage can be a great tool to help cope with the stress and pressures of pregnancy. This leaves the mother-to-be better able to focus on the joys of pregnancy and her baby. Labor massage empowers couples with techniques that can be very effective in reducing pain and discomfort during labor for a more enjoyable experience. Infant massage offers parents a way to bond with and nurture their baby as well as give them tools to help relieve some common baby upsets such as constipation and congestion. Positive and nurturing touch is essential for the healthy growth and development of our children and it is never to late to learn how to massage your child. After having two children of her own she truly knows firsthand how massage can benefit pregnant women and their babies and children. What are some of the benefits of choosing Relaxing Touch?
